Quality poultry products always begin with healthy chickens! And to be sure that a steady supply of healthy chickens reaches Townsends each day, we rely on independent poultry growers in the local communities surrounding our production facilities to grow the chickens we process.
These growers raise our chickens according to exacting, company-wide live production standards we've established through our extensive research and development efforts. We currently have more than 500 poultry growers under contract, and they supply Townsends with more than 100,000,000 healthy birds each year!
Would you like to become a poultry grower for the Townsends team? If you have an agricultural background and own 5 acres of land, if you have an entrepreneurial spirit that makes you want to succeed in your own business and you are financially able to obtain a loan, you may qualify as a contracted poultry grower for Townsends. You need no previous experience as a grower, because Townsends provides individualized training every step of the way!
